General
Explicite is the official website of photographer and porn-director John B Root. John is a French guy who has done plenty of high quality work for European porn channels and magazines worldwide. It’s no surprise then that his website is first class in every respect. Now I can be really picky and I had high expectations when I came to review this site, but even those were surpassed. The quality of all the media contained within is some of the best I have seen. The site design itself is pure class, simple colours and easy navigation. There is also a lot of background information on John himself and his work. The website took 5 months to complete, and has only recently opened. However, unlike many new sites, this site has a lot of content already to keep you occupied.
Content
All the content contained within Explicite is exclusive to it. There is a search facility so you can find photo sets or video by model, or by activity (lesbian, solo, group etc). John has graded each photo set or video by “temperature” using an image of a thermometer. Low temperatures indicate the content is relatively soft, high temperatures indicate hardcore sex etc. Although movies and picture sets are not split into different sections, this is not a problem as links clearly mark whether you’re viewing a photo set, or video – and of course, you’ll find out when you get to the page. All photos and videos have thumbnails so you can gauge the theme of the set before you view. I had no problem getting around this website, and after 20 minutes was confidently searching by models I wanted to see more of. The site works like clockwork, I’m impressed!
Video Section
I have one word, which jumps to mind, outstanding. We’re not talking about cheaply made movies shot with poor lighting and poor sound. These are class movies, as you’d expect to see on top porn channels. Great music and direction (you even get background information on the composer of the music), and the videography is superb. Like any professionally directed movie, these have complete story lines from start to finish. I tried several, and at first was surprised to see a lot of dialog and switching of scenes before anyone got their clothes off. But then I realised I was watching a ‘movie’ and not just a scene of a couple (or group) having sex. The models are gorgeous, no, let me clarify, really gorgeous. They are not well-known faces, not glamour models, but every day cute French girl you’d see wandering down the Champs Elysees. If, like me, you love French girls (the accent alone is so damned sexy) you’ll love this website.
Picture Galleries
You get a choice of Low Resolution (600x400) and High (1800x1200) on all the pictures available. Some are non-nude shots of beautiful girls dressed provocatively; some are group shots of 5 girls and 2 guys doing anal (yep, pretty varied themes here!) All the pictures are superb, not only in terms of quality, but also composure. I’d say these as a cross between the outstanding work of top photographers like Suze Randall, and beautiful models of ALS Scan. But the girls are French (in the main), and some of them have pubic hair, which seems incredible in this day and age. Looking through the sets, I kept thinking, “Wow! She is one of the cutest girls I’ve ever seen on a website”, then two pages later I find another who is even cuter. This is what Explicite is like. It could be my penchant for French girls, but I think this is one of the best picture sites I’ve seen.
Updates
From what I can tell the site updates itself every 2-4 days. The updates may include a new movie, (not short movies by the way, some of these last 20 minutes or longer), or it may be a new photo set. Given the quality of the updates and the material in general, this is perfect timing. Updating daily may be too much to keep up with. My guess is you’re going to want to look at every set in the site.
